Food, Drink & Local Flavours in Sanur

The food in Sanur is to die for! From delicious, cheap-as-chips meals at a local warung (you must try the Nasi Campur!) to lovely cafes perfect for people-watching with a good Bali coffee, eating in Sanur is a highlight of any trip. And don’t forget those sunset cocktails and cold Bintangs at beach bars practically on the sand! It’s not just about fancy dining at 5 star hotels, it’s about discovering places in small alleys, having chicken satay sticks with sand between your toes and people watching on Jalan Danau Tamblingan. Let me point you towards some of my favourites…

Who are we

Meet Bec & Mark

We’re Bec and Mark — long-time visitors to Sanur who fell in love with the slower pace of this little corner of Bali and just keep coming back. No packed itineraries, no rush — just wandering the beach, stopping for coffee, finding a new warung for lunch and tracking down the best happy hour spot before the sun goes down.

Mark will be up before anyone else to catch the sunrise over the beach. Bec has very strong opinions about hotel breakfast spreads. Together we’ve spent more hours than we can count walking Sanur’s streets, eating everything in sight and discovering the little places that make this town so special.

Everything on this site comes from our own experience — the hotels we’ve actually stayed in, the restaurants we keep going back to, and the tips we wish someone had told us on our first visit. We hope it helps make your Sanur trip as good as ours.
