Breakfast at Andaz by Hyatt in Sanur Bali

What if I told you that the best part of your Sanur vacation might not be the beaches, the temples, or the rice terraces – but breakfast?

Breakfast at Andaz is an experience I would equate to going to a fancy restaurant, but better. After arriving, which can be via the beachfront or up the main drive from JL Tamblingan, you will be directed to the courtyard in the middle of the resort for your walk in breakfast at Andaz.

The Village Square, where breakfast is served, houses restaurants like Wok Wok (Indonesian), Blue Oven (Mediterranean), Fire Fox (Asian steakhouse), Deli & Bakery, but for breakfast, you can sit in any of these areas, which include inside and outside areas.

The amazing staff greet you with a smile and friendly but efficient demeanour, you can quickly tell this is a 5-star resort in Sanur.

Breakfast at Andaz Sanur

The best way to describe the Andaz breakfast experience is to say it’s like a tapas restaurant. After being seated in what I can only say is an aesthetically pleasing breakfast room, you are presented with the menu.

Cheese, Meat and Fruit are all part of the walk in breakfast at Andaz.

Breakfast at Andaz is not a typical buffet like you find at any of the other Sanur resorts. Earlier, I mentioned it is like a Tapas restaurant in the sense that the menu contains all small-sized meals. The staff will come around frequently to see if you want to order more.

Some of the standout dishes for us at the Andaz breakfast included:

  • The Seasonal Fruit Plate
  • Matcha Bircher Muesli
  • Artisanal Cheese Plate
  • Artisanal Cured Meats Plate
  • Banana Bread with espresso butter
  • Licorice Bread
  • Steamed Dumplings
  • Village Egg Royal
  • AZB Muffin
  • Satay Ayam
  • Pastry of the day

The menu includes a great mix of options from traditional Indonesian food to eggs and sweet pastries. There are just so many amazing options, it’s actually hard to know where to start!

There is also a large variety of drinks available that are also included, including hot coffee to iced coffee and some berry smoothies. If you prefer tea, there is also a great range to choose from.

@sanureastbali Have you done a walk in breakfast at one of the big hotels in Sanur Bali? #breakfastideas #sanur #bali #balifood #hotelbreakfast ♬ original sound – Things to do in Sanur

Even though we were walk-in guests, we did not feel rushed or hurried to leave, and the staff were just so friendly and helpful. During breakfast, one of the pastry chefs was greeting people at the tables, and he recommended the pastry of the day, so we decided to try one. It was absolutely delicious, and we even went back for a second.

What we thought of our breakfast at Andaz Sanur

To be honest, the breakfast doesn’t come cheap at 375,000 IDR per person plus taxes. But when you compare it to the cost of a night at Andaz, which can be in the 5 Million Rupiah mark, it was a good way of sampling a bit of luxury while we were in Sanur.

Breakfast Menu at Andaz by Hyatt in Sanur

There is no better walk in breakfast in Sanur than Andaz, in our opinion.

When you are finished with breakfast, take a walk around the resort. It is a stunning modern interpretation of a Balinese village, built around lush tropical gardens. Andaz by Hyatt in Sanur is a huge sprawling resort that occupies a prime position between JL Danau Tamblingan and the beach.

** Even though I said it is a walk-in breakfast option, sometimes, if the hotel is full, you will not get a place. The best way to secure your breakfast place is to email Andaz at hery.kusuma@andaz.com and reserve a spot for the desired date you wish to have breakfast.
