Many people opt for a stay at the Sanur Resort Watujimbar for their holiday in Sanur. Its beautiful central pool and luxurious green gardens will draw people in from all over the world. But one thing you can’t ever seem to find information on is what the Sanur Resort Watujimbar breakfast is like.

Previously known as the Swiss-Bel Resort, the hotel wraps around the central pool. Set back from the main thoroughfare through Sanur Jalan Danau Tamblingan, it is easy to forget you are in a bustling area of Bali.
Right at the back of the hotel on the ground floor, you will find the Sanur Resort Watujimbar breakfast area.
Breakfast at Sanur Resort Watujimbar
Rooms booked at Watujimbar are sold with both breakfast included and not included. When we stayed, we made sure it was included, as I do like to have a good breakfast before going out for the day.
It is also coming from many trips with children all over the world. It was one meal of the day that was easy, and there was always something that everyone would eat, even if it was plain toast or eggs.

Breakfast is served from 6.30 am to 10.30 am in the Tamblingan Cafe. This is an outdoor area with only ceiling fans to keep you cool. There is no air-conditioned area. A light breeze will come through the open cafe.
You can sit undercover or poolside under umbrellas. You will find that it is hotter out in the sun under the umbrellas, but some did prefer that.
Seating is easy to find the earlier you arrive. We ate breakfast at 7.30 most mornings and did not have an issue finding a table for 2 at that time.

There is plenty of seating for any-sized groups. Staff were happy to combine tables if there were none that were available for larger groups.
We sat at the back of the Tamblingan Cafe that looked over the back road, JL Bumi Ayu. Our table was for 2, but there were also larger options and some bench-style seating that faced the road. Be aware that some people sit right at the end and smoke.

Breakfast at Watujimbar is served buffet style. You will find a large range of dishes from traditional Indonesian options to favourites like waffles and baked beans. There were plenty of different breads with a toaster and a good selection of spreads.
One of my favourite breakfast options at breakfast was the Burcher muesli. It was very tasty and had the right amount of fruit. There were also other options to add if there was something you would prefer, like nuts, seeds, extra yoghurt and dried fruits.
In the kitchen, the chefs would prepare you some bacon, eggs and on request some mushrooms as well. Bacon was cooked and ready to serve at 2 rashers when requested.
Coffee was served either from a drip machine or you could get a latte, cappuccino or hot chocolate from the automated machine. There was a selection of teas and fresh juices as well as infused water.
Down the other end was where you would find the made-to-order waffles, pancakes, eggs and sausage that were kept warm on a little grill.
Dishes changed daily, and to be honest, the first day we had breakfast there was the pick out of the three days. The food was warmer than most buffet breakfasts we have been to.
Do I have to be a guest to have the Watujimbar breakfast?
No! The good thing about the Sanur Resort Watujimbar is that they accept walk ins for breakfast as well.

You can check at reception if they have space, rather than walking all the way down to the cafe or you can book ahead if you know what day you will be wanting
Expect to pay approximately 160,500rupiah per person for breakfast. At times throughout the year, they offer a discount. Please be aware that this does not include the service tax or the government tax. This is added onto the amount, as it may vary depending on the breakfast cost.
Would we go back for breakfast at Sanur Resort Watujimbar?
Absolutely! The food was plentiful, hot and fresh. We found that there was ample seating, so many options and the staff was always ready to help. The walk in breakfast here was good value for a resort style breakfast in Sanur Bali Indonesia.

Things to do in Sanur and its content is created by two Australians Mark & Bec who have been to Sanur many times. We have enjoyed food and drink on the beach, we have sipped coffee on Jalan Danau Tamblingan. We have stayed in homestays and hotels in Sanur and made day trips to see the best of Bali. Not only that, but we aim to keep the information fresh by continuing to visit Sanur and getting first-hand information off our Balinese friends.
